Mellanox Technologies, a supplier of end-to-end Ethernet and InfiniBand solutions, announced a new demonstration of 50 Gb/s silicon photonics optical modulators and detectors at the Optical Fiber Communication (OFC) conference.
These 50 Gb/s devices are important components in 200 Gb/s and 400 Gb/s LinkX cables and transceivers, which are required to enable the next generation of InfiniBand and Ethernet speeds. These 50 Gb/s devices are a key component to developing end to end solutions for HDR 200 Gb/s InfiniBand and Ethernet infrastructure by the company’s 2020 goal.
